The Ped's Threads AA Atom Bombers finished up their season winning The Lamontagne Cup (B-Final) at the Munn Cup in Thompson. Playing with a shortened roster due to Spring Break the boys battled hard, had lots of chances but lost their opener to The Pas 2-0. Goaltender Wyatt Pelletier kept the young Bombers in the game but were unable to find the back of the net themselves. In the next game against Cross Lake, and if not for outstanding goaltending on both sides it could have been 10-10, the Bombers lost on a late goal 4-3. Jeremy Dutcawich played net with Darwin Morin scoring two goals and Evan Danko scoring the other for the Bombers. The third game was a must win in order to play on Sunday against the host Thompson team. Austin Dobie scored in the first to make it 1-0 and with the goaltending of Pelletier it stayed that way after two periods. Hunter Lee and Aaron Hilts scored two each in the third for the Bombers for a 5-0 victory for Flin Flon, basically eliminating Thompson from the tournament. With the suffocating defensive play of Keelan Salamondra, Cole Reierson, Eric Rutherford and Brady Farkus, Thompson ran out of gas in the third period. To finish out the round robin, Flin Flon faced off against an all-star team from the Parkland region showing why they were the class of the tournament beating Flin Flon 12-1. Morin scored Flin Flon's loan goal with the goaltending duties shared by Dutcawich and Pelletier. The Ped's Threads AA Bombers then played a rematch against the Cross Lake Islanders for the B final and it was all Flin Flon from the start winning 6-2. Hilts led the way with a hat-trick and Morin, Lee and Carter Watt added singles. Pelletier and Dutcawich shared the goaltending duties to finish out the season. For the year, the Bombers had six tournaments; winning two B finals, losing two A finals and losing a B final, and winning the consolation event in Provincials 2-1 against The Pas.
