On the weekend of November 10 and 11 our local Johnny's Atom 'AA' Bombers traveled to Dauphin for their annual tournament. Teams in attendance were from Dauphin, Swan River, Morden, The Pas and Flin Flon. The boys' first game Saturday morning was against the Swan River Stampeders. The final score was 9-0 for Flin Flon. Scoring was by Nathan Johnson (4), Mike Ferguson (2), Zach Garrett, Dylan McCombie and Brendan Barron. The shutout was shared by both goaltenders, Jeff Stallard and Edward Gardner. Saturday afternoon brought the local boys against The Pas Huskies. This was a much tighter game. The Bombers won 4-2 after being down 2-1 with five minutes to go in the third and Nathan Johnson getting the tying and winning goals. Rounding out the scoring was Garrett Hatherley. In the finals Flin Flon was matched against the hometown Dauphin Kings. After the first period the score was 3-1 for Flin Flon. After the second period the score was 5-3 for the 'AA' Bombers, and with no scoring in the third the boys won the game to take home the cup. Scoring in the game were Brendan Barron (2), Brandon Eikel, Evan Akkerman and Garrett Hatherley. Next action for the Atom 'AA' Bombers is December 10-12 in Swan River.
