Cross country runners competed in their first big race of the season, Tuesday. Sixty-six Northern runners took off from the Centoba ball diamonds and made their way to the Flin Flon Creighton Ski Club Chalet. Athletes competed from Creighton Community School, Hapnot Collegiate, Ecole McIsaac School, Margret Barber Collegiate, and Scott Bateman Middle School from Grades 5 to 12. Elementary and junior high school students ran 2.5 kilometers while the varsity and senior varsity girls ran 3.2 kilometers and the senior varsity boys ran 4.5 kilometers.
