Congratulations to Ian Clark, the Chicken Chef Athlete of the Week. Ian is the captain for Hapnot's senior varsity basketball team. "He's a team leader off the court and on the court," said coach Toni Ticzon. So far this year, the team has participated at tournaments in Brandon and Thompson, and Ian has been the top scorer each time. Two weeks ago Hapnot hosted their own tournament, and Ian continues to lead, averaging close to 20 points per game. "He dominates when he is on the court," said Ticzon. "The team goes where he goes. Even when he has a bad game on the floor, his leadership carries over to the rest of the team." Ian is currently in Grade 11, and has been playing basketball since junior high. "Right now his skills and ability are up there where a good senior basketball player should be," said Ticzon. "He will be one of the top players in the north as a senior. We're trying to expose him to some good basketball to gain experience." Ticzon added that Ian is very dedicated to his sport, and is a very coachable kid. This is his second year on the senior varsity team. Ian receives either a 9" pizza or a two piece chicken dinner from Chicken Chef.
