Rhonda Lowe is our Athlete of the Week, and has won a 9" pizza or two piece chicken dinner from Chicken Chef. Rhonda has been enjoying the sport of bowling since she was 12 years old. Today, she is a member of the local Special Olympics Bowling Team, and will soon be heading to Brandon with her teammates to compete against other bowlers from across the province. Rhonda recently traveled to Thompson for the Special Olympics Regional Playoffs where her and her teammates came in third. She mentioned that it was a great time. With an average of 140 for the month of April, Rhonda is enjoying the extra practice times as she gets ready for Provincials. Besides her regular Sunday night bowling, she joins with her teammates to practice twice more during the week. The Special Olympics Team that will be representing our community in Brandon on June 3-5, are: Rhonda Lowe, Carol Odegaard, Leslie Hughes, Stacey Madland and Robert LaFont. Their coach is Brenda Abele of Abele's Bowling Centre. Congratulations Rhonda on being chosen as this week's Athlete of the Week. Have fun in Brandon!
