The Flin Flon Bombers aren't getting any help from any of the teams they are chasing in the race for a playoff spot. La Ronge and Nipawin were both winners on Friday night, moving ahead of Flin Flon and leaving the Bombers in sixth place in the Dodge Conference. La Ronge had a pair of goals from Doug Gebbie, and Jeff Marshall, Doug Exner and Donovan Hall added singles as the Ice Wolves knocked off the Battlefords' North Stars 5-2. Cole Fern and Scott Mannula replied for the North Stars The Ice Wolves scored three power-play goals on 12 chances, and a short handed marker, while holding the North Stars to one power-play goal on six chances. Nipawin out shot Melfort 47-21 as the Hawks dumped the Mustangs 5-3. Alex Cote and Kevin Lavallee each scored twice for Nipawin, while T.J. Sutter added the single for the Hawks. Jeff Hajner, Reilley Dutchak and Jack Scott had the goals for the Mustangs. Melville scored twice in the third period as the Millionaires defeated the Estevan Bruins 5-4. Three of Estevan's goals came on seven power plays, while Melville was held scoreless on three tries. Kai Magnussen, Chad Haacke, Derek Parker, Evan Folden and Jordan Hack scored for Melville. Matt Harms had a pair of goals for Estevan, while Cameron Jarvis and Trevor Hyatt added singles. Clayton Bastura and Ryan Grona each had a pair of goals for Weyburn as the Red Wings doubled the Yorkton Terriers 4-2. Trent Cassan and Evan Debert tallied for the Terriers.
