Submitted by Flin Flon Aqua Jets Competing with top athletes from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and North Dakota, Austin Dubreuil returned from the Man/Sask LC Swim Meet held in Regina in high spirits. The July 5-9th meeting showcased Dubreuil's strengths in the pool. He placed second overall in his age group in the 200 Freestyle and placed third in the 50 Backstroke. Dubreuil also had one fourth place finish, one fifth place finish and three sixth place finishes in various events. The highlight of the five-day meet for the 12-year-old was getting to compete in a two-kilometre Open Water event held at Regina Beach. Swimming the race in just over 30 minutes, Austin placed second _ only a few seconds behind the first-place winner. Dubreuil's races in Regina earlier this month helped end the season for the Flin Flon Aqua Jets. The swim club will take the summer off and meet again in the fall.
