Have you ever been captivated by the synchronized swimming coverage at the Olympics? Let the Aqua Doves show you how exciting synchronized swimming can be! The Flin Flon/Creighton Aqua Doves season is soon approaching. The Aqua Doves are the local synchronized swimming team, who are looking for interested athletes to join. Check out what synchronized swimming has to offer with a free practice. This year's coaches, Amanda Link, and Raeanne Donaldson are excited to see returning athletes, and new athletes jump into the pool this season to experience the rewards of synchronized swimming. This year's coaches each have over 10 years of synchronized swimming experience, coaching, and judging. Synchronized swimming is a combination of muscular endurance, flexibility, grace, and creativity. Synchro combines figures, propulsions, and arm work in a routine. A routine can be a solo, duet, team or a combination routine. During a routine, the athletes become synchronized with their partner and their music to create an eye catching display of athleticism and talent. All interested athletes must have Red Cross level 4 (or equivalent) to participate. There is also funding provided through Kid Sport Manitoba, to assist families with registration if needed. The Aqua Doves are looking forward to seeing new and returning athletes this season. For further information please feel free to contact Amanda at 271-2249 or Raeanne at 688-0888.
