Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Residents teamed up last Saturday for Calm Air's Amazing Race, which sent them all over the city in search of clues. Picking up the hints and completing the tasks, teams had a swimming challenge Ð where they were required to find one of 10 nickels with one black side at the bottom of the Flin Flon Aqua Centre's pool Ð as well as an eating challenge. Team members also had to use their noses to push a soccer ball across the field at Foster Park - while in the wheelbarrow stance. Eating challenge The eating challenge had some participants eating head cheese, blue cheese, pepperoni sticks, pickled herring and even jelly beans Ð for the lucky ones. Teams finished the race as follows: 1st (1:55.32) Ð Victorious Secret - Taylor Johnston and Alyssa Raddysh ($500 and return flights to Winnipeg) 2nd (2:03.09) - Tweedle - Rhiana Wall and Tracy Koivisto ($300) 3rd (2:15.02) - '67 Classics - Rauni Beresitzky and Sherri Hedman ($200) Hard Luck Prize (2:42) - Steam Team - Jamie Bewcyk and Josh Miller (prize package) Most Experienced Racers (2:20.01) - The Chrups - Heather and Mike Chrupalo, who finished fourth (prize package)6/7/11
