Teachers often have troubles keeping the students focused that week before Christmas break. And once the man of the hour had made his presence in all the homes, it turns to the parents to keep their young ones entertained Ð which can be easier said than done at times. So the Creighton Recreation, Flin Flon Parks and Recreation and the Creighton Community School have teamed up to bring a few activities to the children through the Christmas break. As children are ancy to get outside and play, the week-long event has something for everyone. Monday kicked off the activities with a gym day at Creighton School where the children had free reign of the equipment. Tuesday evening there was skating at the Creighton Sportex with the option of scrub hockey. Later in the week, children were treated to a movie night at the school. And planned for Saturday, weather permitting, there will be an outdoor fun day where the children will take over the playground at the school. And to warp things up on Sunday, children will be hitting the PinHeads Bowling Alley.
