The playing rights of 6'1, 170 lb right winger Mike Allen (02/15/86 Ð Moose Jaw, SK) have been transferred from the Estevan Bruins to the Notre Dame Hounds in exchange for the playing rights of 6'2, 196 lb defenceman Clayton Anderson (05/09/84 Ð Regina, SK). Mike Allan played 51 games for the Bruins last season and accumulated two goals and nine assists for 11 points and 31 penalty minutes. Clayton Anderson played 25 games for the Hounds and had two assists and 51 penalty minutes. The playing rights of centreman Tanner Shultz (10/14/84 Ð Prince Albert, SK) have been transferred from the Humboldt Broncos to the La Ronge Ice Wolves in exchange for future considerations. Tanner played 69 games for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League last season and had six goals, four assists, and 331 penalty minutes. Laredo Bucks press release: The 2004 Central Hockey League President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks signed their first player of the off season. The Bucks inked defenseman Steven Makway to a contract for the 2004-05 CHL season. Makway, 6-4 225, hails from Trail, British Columbia. He spent last year with the Battlefords' North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. Makway had 11 goals and 44 points in 36 games and totaled 208 PIMs. "He is a talented young man," Laredo Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski said. "He played on a Memorial Cup championship team in Kootenay. He is a very physical player who puts up good offensive numbers." That was a long road to win the Memorial Cup," Makway said. "We came together as a team at the right time. I was happy to be a piece of the puzzle and help out." 6/21/2004
