The Flin Flon Bombers are back to winning ways, snagging a 4-3 overtime victory over Melville.
Melville's offense took control early, with two quick first-period goals by Damian Bentz and Clayton Eisler. The Bombers clawed back to tie the game in the second period, with both Daylan Marchi and Nate Hooper finding the net.
Marchi scored again in the third period to give the Bombers the lead, but Logan Foster tied things up for Melville halfway through the third, forcing overtime.
It didn't take too long for someone to step up - specifically, Bomber forward Caleb Moretz, who scored an unassisted goal on Mils goalie Brandon Wells to seal the deal for the maroon and white.
Bomber goalie Brenden Newton made 26 saves in the win, while Wells took the L after a 33 save performance.
The win could be crucial for Flin Flon's hopes of keeping the ninth seed in the league standings with the playoffs on the horizon. Melville, who currently sit in tenth with 46 points, are now four points behind the Bombers for the ninth spot heading into the Survivor Series.
With four games remaining in the season, the Bombers will either finish ninth or tenth overall in the league. The club's likely playoff opponent is still unclear - one of either Kindersley, Notre Dame or Weyburn will face the Bombers in the best-of-five series.
The Bombers will face Notre Dame and Yorkton on Mar. 2 and 3 on the road, before ending the season with a pair of home games against Melfort and La Ronge.
