Kelly Carrington Staff Writer The Flin Flon Ski Club's 38th annual Centaloppet is all ready for another go. Tradition saw the mass start on Ross Lake while groups, families, friends and solo skiers made their way to the Flin Flon Ski Club Chalet. Well, things are different this year. The Centaloppet will start on the Beaver Pond at the Chalet. Skiers will make their way around 3.4 kilometres of groomed trail and end at the Chalet. Skiers of all ages are welcomed to this Sunday's event. In the past, mothers and fathers have towed little ones in sleds behind them as well as had beginners at their sides the whole way. The Ski Club encourages everyone 'to be a participate in their great fun event,' read a promotional poster. This free event has registration prior to the mass start in the Chalet basement. Like years past, the Centaloppet will allow each and every skier the chance to win first place. 'Our handicapping system ensures that each skier has a chance at winning the prestigious Centaloppet Cup,' a poster for the event read. Previous years have seen the up go to both children and adults, beginner and seasoned skiers.
