RCMP are investigating after an armed man with a bandana over his face tried to rob a Creighton business.

At about 5:30 pm on Saturday, Feb. 7, police received a call of an attempted robbery at a business on the 300 block of Main Street.

Initial investigation revealed that a man brandishing a weapon – police didn’t say what kind – entered the business and demanded cash.

He did not obtain any money and exited on foot toward the back of the building and alleyway. One employee present at the time was not injured.

The would-be robber is described as a Caucasian in his mid-20s. He stands 5 ft. 6 in. tall with a thin build and light-coloured eyes.

He was wearing a black, knitted-style toque, a black bandana over his face, a black sweater, black pants and black gloves.

The incident follows two recent armed robberies in Flin Flon in which a masked man made off with cash from a pair of businesses, first on Nov. 14 and again on Feb. 4.

Police have not definitively linked the three incidents, but in each case the suspect has been described as a male standing at or around 5 ft. 6 in. In each case, the suspect’s face was covered.

Creighton RCMP continue to investigate the attempted robbery. They ask anyone with information to contact them at 306-688-8888.
