A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in Leaf Rapids and RCMP have arrested a suspect in the case.
Leaf Rapids RCMP were called to a home on Mukasew Bay in the community shortly before 10 a.m. Sept. 2, finding a man inside who had been stabbed. The man was taken to seek medical care but later died of his injuries.
RCMP announced through a press release Sept. 4 that a female suspect had been arrested. Police did not provide any further identifying characteristics, including her name, home community or age. It is unknown what charges the female may be facing or when she may appear in court.
Leaf Rapids RCMP, the Manitoba Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services are investigating the death.
