Submitted by Flin Flon RCMP On July 13, Flin Flon RCMP received a report of a large quantity of copper wire being stolen from the abandoned Tartan Mine site, approximately 15 km north of Flin Flon. The stolen wire is valued at approximately $15,000. The wire missing is described as 2 3/4 in diameter and labeled with Mustang 90 350 MCM 3/C type G or GC Portable Power Cable 90 C 2000Volts AIW Corp P)-136-35-MSHA. This wire may already be stripped and processed for scrap. In the event someone is trying to sell or has sold a large quantity of copper wire, please call the Flin Flon RCMP at 687-1423.
