All of Winnipeg has been invited to former Flin Flonner Robbin Fontaine's wedding. All they'll have to do is turn on their radios. Fontaine and fiancee Danielle Huggan have won Q-94 FM's "I Havana Get Married" contest, giving the lucky couple an all-expenses paid wedding at the end of the month and a honeymoon to Havana, Cuba. Each of the five finalist couples appeared on Q-94 FM the week of January 26, engaging in informal conversation and playing an improvised version of TV's The Newlywed Game. The following week, listeners logged onto the station's Web site to cast their votes for their favourite couple. Almost 5,000 votes were registered and on Friday, Fontaine received the news that he and Huggan had received the most tallies. See 'Wedding' P.# Con't from P.# Q-94 FM will pick up the tab for their February 28 wedding in Winnipeg, which will be heard live on the station. The couple will also receive a seven-night trip to Cuba and various wedding gifts. Fontaine, a University of Winnipeg education student, and Huggan, a gym teacher, have decided to donate to charity the $2,000 they had been saving for their special day. Interestingly, they didn't plan to marry until next year after Fontaine graduated. That changed when they caught wind of the unique radio contest, which was entered by nearly 1,000 brides and grooms to be. Even getting into the top five took hard work and maybe a stroke of luck for the couple. They were chosen as finalists after Danielle sent the producers a giant pop-up card, complete with pictures of the couple, and shared with them a poem detailing how she and her future husband met.
