Flin Flon's Ruth Jackson was the big winner at Bakers Narrows Day on Sunday, winning the top raffle prize of a $1,300 diamond ring. Taking home the second prize of one night in a honeymoon suite at the Victoria Inn, a $250 value, was Linda Smith. Dorothy Scott won the third prize, a deep fryer from Stittco Energy Ltd. valued at $110. The Flin Flon Lions Club, which held the draw as part of the Bakers Narrows Day festivities, sold about 800 of the 1,500 tickets printed. President Alan French said all proceeds will go toward Bakers Narrows Day, noting that the club wants to install new horseshoe pits at the park site. All 12 prizes awarded in the draw came from local businesses.
