AJ's Photo By You will have readers send us their social-themed photos for publication. Now, we're not looking for 'hard news' sorts of photos, such as the fiery blaze that tore through your neighbour's home or workers building the new ambulance station at the former Ross Lake Market Garden. No, we're after pics of notable birthdays, family gatherings, special anniversaries, memorable vacations, visits from former residents and the like. Get the picture? Good, now send it to us! AJ's Photo By You will run on a regular basis. We ask that pics be e-mailed to [email protected] and include all relevant info, such as location and the names of individuals. Photos can also be dropped off at our office at 14 North Avenue. We will accept digital pics as well as the old-fashioned kind. Photographers will receive credit. Karen MacKinnon, sales manager for The Reminder, is excited about this new addition to our newspaper. 'As a community newspaper, part of our job is to connect our readers with the events _ big and small _ that are happening in our area,' she says.
