The City of Flin Flon cut off water to the former Hong Kong Restaurant last week after water began leaking from the property.
Chief Administrative Officer Mark Kolt said the city was notified of water escaping the building at 7:20 a.m. last Thursday, Nov. 14.
“We’ve prevented the entry of new water into the building and tried to keep the water that’s in the building, as much as possible, from moving further,” Kolt said.
Kolt would not comment on whether the water damaged other buildings.
Once a local landmark, the Hong Kong Restaurant closed earlier this year.
