Jonathon Naylor Editor A driver who recently struck a power pole along the Creighton Freeway may have swerved to avoid a pedestrian. But Creighton RCMP say that theory is inconclusive and now hope any witnesses will step forward. At about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, police received a report of a rental car that had struck a power pole between the road and the adjacent walking path. RCMP said the driver, an out-of-town woman, did not suffer any injuries. There were no passengers. Police ask anyone who witnessed the accident to call the Creighton detachment at 688-8888.
