The staff at Elite Communications Radio Shack may be dedicated professionals, but that doesn't mean they can't let loose for a good cause. This week, the Main St. store took top spot in Crazy Hat Day, a self-explanatory promotion organized by the National Addictions Awareness Week Committee. For their efforts, the staff will receive a trophy and a platter of munchies to enjoy on their coffee breaks. Employees at seven businesses participated in the event, wearing everything from cowboy hats to a hard hats normally reserved for construction workers. It was all to help bring awareness to National Addictions Awareness Week, which began Sunday. An honourable mention went to the Flin Flon Credit Union. The schools also participated in Crazy Hat Day and had their own judging.
