The head of VMS Ventures is encouraged by the latest mineral exploration results from the Reed Mine property.
The junior miner announced Wednesday that five of seven holes in an ongoing drill program are now complete, with nearly 3,900 metres drilled.
The target areas are located about 300 metres to 2.3 kilometres from Reed Mine, which is co-owned by VMS and Hudbay.
“We are encouraged that the results to date provide VMS and our joint venture partner Hudbay with more information on the stratigraphy, style of mineralization and related alteration around the Reed Mine,” John Roozendaal, interim CEO and president of VMS, said in a news release. “The target areas are providing evidence for features characteristic of volcanic hosted massive sulphide deposits. A follow-up program will be considered once all the results from this drill program are received and interpreted.”
