Doyle Vermette will continue to represent Creighton and the rest of the Cumberland constituency from the opposition benches.
Vermette, a New Democrat, was easily re-elected in Monday's Saskatchewan election.
With 52 of 57 polls reporting, he had an insurmountable lead of 1,496 votes over Thomas Sierzycki of the Saskatchewan Party.
Reached by phone, Sierzycki conceded the election and congratulated Vermette on his victory.
Vermette could not immediately be reached for comment. With all but five polls reporting, he had 2,731 votes compared to 1,235 for Sierzycki.
George Morin of the Liberals was a distant third with 322 votes. The Green Party's Michael Lessard had 60 votes.
Provincewide, Premier Brad Wall's Saskatchewan Party has won a third straight majority government. As of 11:38 pm CST, the Sask Party had won or was leading in 50 of the province's 61 ridings. The NDP was elected or leading in the other 11 ridings.
