Need a COVID-19 vaccine? There are plenty of opportunities to do so around Flin Flon and Creighton in the coming weeks.
According to Manitoba’s provincial vaccine shot finder, three sites in Flin Flon are offering doses, including vaccine doses for kids.
According to the Northern Health Region (NHR) website, COVID-19 vaccine doses are available in Flin Flon at the Primary Health Care Centre at North Avenue and Main Street Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Some doses are made available for walk-ins, but appointments can still be booked by calling (204) 687-1350.
Specific walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics have also been held on Fridays, but some doses may still be available on other weekdays. Doses for children ages 5-11 can also be found at the Primary Health Care Centre, along with seasonal flu shots.
A series of pop-up clinics are continuing across the street at the Flin Flon Community Hall, where shots will be given out via a walk-in clinic Dec. 22 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Doses of mRNA vaccine, including special doses for children ages 5-11, will be available, according to the provincial shot finder.
Walk-in doses are also available at the Flin Flon Walmart, including children’s doses, during normal pharmacy hours at the store.
Doses are also available in Creighton through the Creighton Health Office, located in the Provincial Building. Three vaccine clinics are set to be held in January at the site - 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on January 5, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on January 13 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on January 20. Appointments during those times can be booked at 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829). Like its Flin Flon counterpart, the Creighton vaccine centre is also taking bookings for seasonal flu shots - those appointments can be booked at 4flu.ca.
