Several people have been arrested after a series of police actions around uptown Flin Flon on Tuesday following an armed home invasion.
Around 3 a.m. March 17, Flin Flon RCMP members responded to a call of a break-and-enter in progress. Suspects had already left the building when police arrived, but witnesses reported seeing three suspects - two males and a female - entering the home. One male was carrying a firearm, while the other carried a hockey stick. Several minutes later, witnesses reported seeing the suspects leave the home with a television set and leaving the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle.
Police patrolled in the area and located one adult males at around 5:30 a.m., who was arrested by police without incident.
Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Ross Street, located near the Hapnot Lake duck pond.
Inside the home, officers arrested another adult male and an adult female in relation with the ititial break-and-enter call. After searching the home, RCMP officers found a BB gun, an airsoft gun and what police described in a Manitoba RCMP press release as "a large sum of Canadian money."
Charges will be laid against the two adult males - a 19-year-old man from Flin Flon and a 21-year-old from Sherridon - and the female, a 37-year-old from Flin Flon. All three are currently in police custody.
No injuries were reported to police in relation to any of the incidents.
