The mayor's job and those of six aldermen will be up for grabs in Creighton next month. The town election will take place on Tuesday, October 22. The call for nominations is now on, with the deadline to enter the race being September 24 at 4 p.m. All positions will be three-year terms. The current Town Council consists of Mayor Wilf Boychuk and aldermen Bruce Fidler, Dennis Strom, Colleen Stallard, Valery Dixon and Roland Beasse. Meanwhile, the council elections in Denare Beach are just one week away, with residents set to hit the polls on September 24. Earlier this year, Denare Beach Mayor Carl Lentowicz has been acclaimed to his third straight term.
