Originally born and raised in Flin Flon, Barry and Lynne Kreller moved to The Pas 29 years ago when they purchased that community's A&W restaurant. Now, their family is embarking on a new business that will bring them back to Flin Flon to service clients in this region. Barry, along with sons Michael and Patrick, are offering the communities and the surrounding area, a new professional cleaning service. Their business is called Ultimate Carpet, Upholstery and Duct Cleaning, and they guarantee that their cleaning method will surpass any other carpet and upholstery service currently being offered in this region. "We clean with temperatures 100 degrees hotter than other services," noted Barry. "Some others use tap water which is 130 to 135 maximum. By the time the water comes out of the wand, it's maybe 90 to 100. You don't start killing bacteria until 130. "We clean with temperatures at 200 at the truck. Every 18 you raise water temperature in carpet cleaning, you double the efficiency of the cleaning." "Detergent is a magnet for dirt," explained Barry. "Portable carpet cleaners leave up to 60 per cent of the detergent in the carpet. With Ultimate, 98 per cent of what's pulled out is drawn back into the truck's holding tank, which is later disposed of, and not recycled as cleaning water." The high heat that is used with the Ultimate system also means less drying time is required. "The drying time is approximately three hours under normal circumstances. Times vary, however it's much faster than other methods." Barry and his sons use a more delicate method when cleaning upholstery. To protect the material, the equipment is used with reduced temperature and suction. "Myself and Michael are trained in hand cleaning techniques for unusually delicate fabrics," said Barry. "Patrick will also be certified soon." With hand cleaning, the surface is dry when they're finished. Another important part of their business is the cleaning of the duct work, which Barry reminds people, "is important for the overall cleanliness of your home." He added that people are often amazed when they see the dust, dirt, toys, marbles, food, and whatever else that collects in the duct system, when it is sucked out. A unique feature of the Ultimate business is the support team. The Krellers are just a phone call away from specialists at Ultimate Carpet, Upholstery and Duct Cleaning. The specialists can instantly advise them about any type of cleaning issue. Available by phone are: Certified Master Cleaners, Certified Master Restorers, Certified Odor Techs, Certified Mold Remediators, Carpet Dye Specialists, Certified Carpet Inspectors, Carpet Cleaning Inspectors, Upholstery Cleaning Inspectors, and Certified Dupont Cleaners. The company is backed by 30 years of cleaning experience and is I.I.C.R.C. approved. After recently selling their A&W business in The Pas, the Krellers are looking forward to their new venture, and are excited about the quality service they will be providing for this region.
