Flin Flon RCMP are looking for information in a double shooting on Ross Street Thursday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m. May 4, police were called to a home on the street after neighbours heard shots fired, not far from Ruth Betts Community School. At the home, a 23-year-old woman was found inside injured with what RCMP have described as "life-threatening injuries". The woman was transported to hospital in Winnipeg - her condition, as of Friday afternoon, is unknown.

After the 23-year-old woman was found, a second update to RCMP revealed a second victim, a 28-year-old man. He was taken to hospital with what police described as "serious but non-life threatening injuries".

No suspects have been named in the shooting or subsequent investigation by police. No arrests or charges have been announced in the incident.

Neither of the victims have been identified by RCMP, but police say that the shooting may have been a targeted incident.

"Investigators do not believe these were random acts," reads a May 5 news release from Manitoba RCMP.

RCMP Major Crime Services have been brought to Flin Flon to investigate the incident, along with officers from Flin Flon RCMP.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Flin Flon RCMP at (204) 687-1422, contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or manitobacrimestoppers.com, or to contact a local RCMP detachment.
