Two candidates up for open Snow Lake council seat

A pair of people have entered their names for a byelection in Snow Lake next month. Kyle McLaughlin and former mayor Kim Stephen have both entered the race for the council seat formerly occupied by now ex-councillor Andrew Smith.

A pair of people have entered their names for a byelection in Snow Lake next month.

Kyle McLaughlin and former mayor Kim Stephen have both entered the race for the council seat formerly occupied by now ex-councillor Andrew Smith.

The official election day will be April 16, with the vote taking place at the council chambers at the town office on Elm Street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may require one piece of government-issued identification to cast a vote.

An advance poll will take place on April 9 with the same location and hours as election day. An alternate voting location will be set up at the Snow Lake Health Centre between 2:30 and 3 p.m. on April 10.
