Trout Festival Canada Day parade: the winners

Colourful floats helped Flin Flon and area mark the nation’s birthday.

Northland Ford’s Canada Day parade last Friday, July 1, saw nine floats make their way from Green Street to Hapnot Street.

Taking top spot in the commercial category was North of 53 Consumers Co-op, followed by Northland Ford in second and Westwood Lodge in third.

In the non-commercial category, the City of Flin Flon came out on top. Second and third went to Canadian Parents for French and Breast Cancer Pledge Ride respectively.

In the classic cars category, Ken Grindle came in first, followed by Darren Deminick in second and Tim Dubreuil in third.

Meanwhile, the Trout Festival’s Share of the North fundraising 50/50 draw saw Linda Dearman take the cash prize of $810.
