An sparse amount of interest has prompted the Flin Flon Travel Club has put on hold plans to tour Ireland this September. Only about a dozen people expressed interest in the trip at a meeting last month, motivating organizer Gerry Clark to move the deadline for the required cash deposits to the end of April in hopes of attracting more travelers. "I don't know why more interest hasn't been shown," said Clark, a retired high school teacher. "This seems to me to be the dream trip of a lot of people." Clark stressed that the Flin Flon Travel Club is open to anyone interested in traveling. The 15-day Ireland tour would include a visit to St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, a chance to kiss the world famous Blarney Stone, and a tour of the Old Bushmills Distillery. Offered through Saskatoon's respected Collegiate Tours, the trek would also include a taste of another popular tourist destination, London, England.
