Carissa Zoerb, youth engagement leader of the Manitoba Youth Job Centre, heats up “campfire cones” on a barbecue while Brianna Alexander prepares to deliver some of the treats on Friday, August 14. The centre’s Odd Job Squad sold the treats – s’mores stuffed in foil-wrapped ice cream cones – to uptown businesses. The sale marked the final event of the summer for the Odd Job Squad, which offered various jobs to youth ages 12 to 16. The centre is based in the Barrow Provincial Building, and the cones were barbecued in the parking lot.
