Gerry Clark has just the thing for residents looking for an exotic adventure in the dead of winter. The organizer of the Adult Travel Club is eyeing Costa Rica as the next destination for he and his fellow journeyers. "If you talk to anybody who has been to Costa Rica, they've had a wonderful time," he said. "It's such a small place yet it has so much to offer." At least 20 people are needed in order for the trip, booked through a respected tour operator, to go ahead. The trip, which includes one night in Chicago, is tentatively scheduled to begin on January 28 and return on February 10. "Thirteen per cent of Costa Rica is preserved in national parks and another 27 per cent is protected," noted Clark, who has more than 30 years of experience in organizing international trips from Flin Flon. Clark stressed that the Adult Travel Club is not to be confused with the Hapnot Collegiate Travel Club, which, coincidentally, is also planning a trip to Costa Rica next year. Anyone interested in obtaining a trip itinerary in person or via e-mail may contact Gerry at 687-6256. A public information meeting on the trip is slated for Tuesday, September 30, at the Flin Flon Community Hall beginning at 7 p.m.
