A documentary focusing on the Flin Flon Bombers will soon be screened in Flin Flon.

An official trailer for Flin Flon: A Hockey Town was released last week by New York-based production company Greencard Pictures.

Team staff confirmed that an official public screening of the film will take place in the community, likely before the holiday season.

Another private screening will be held for players and their families ahead of the public showing.

The film, which clocks in at about 73 minutes in length, details part of the run last year’s Bomber squad made to the Canalta Cup finals. The documentary was shot in February and will include game footage from the team’s Free Ticket night last season –
a penalty-filled game against rival team La Ronge Ice Wolves which the Bombers won 11-0.

Some familiar Flin Flon scenes are shown in the trailer, including the Whitney Forum and an outdoor rink on Lake Athapapuskow, as well as interviews with several players, coaches and long-time fans.
