Flin Flon RCMP have arrested a man who allegedly brought $8,400 worth of powder cocaine to the community.
Police stopped a vehicle on Island Drive on Tuesday at around 6:15 pm. They said they had grounds to believe the driver was in possession of a controlled substance.
RCMP said they seized 60 grams of powder cocaine, cash, a small quantity of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
The driver, a 24-year-old male who had arrived in Flin Flon from Edmonton, remained in custody Wednesday morning awaiting several drug-related charges. He is not a local resident and his name was not released.
