The 2004 Roller Goodwin Memorial Classic gave Flin Flon hockey fans a healthy dose of excitement over the August long weekend. Now residents in need of a helping hand are also benefiting from the tournament. The Old Time Bombers yesterday donated $1,000 of proceeds from the event to the Lord's Bounty Food Bank. The squad's Brent Lethbridge said the players chose to assist the food bank after reading in The Reminder that the charity was in need of donations. "The Old Time Bombers have always been community-minded, and this was deemed to be a very good cause," he said. "We like to help people in the community."
