Toastmasters is an international program that helps you develop quick thinking and communication skills. Not only is Toastmasters alive and well in Flin Flon, but this club has reached "Distinguished Club Status" for two out of the last four years, meaning the club is doing a very good job meeting its goal of helping people to communicate. This program is meant for professionals and non-professionals alike. Everyone is welcome. Toastmasters provide a practical structure to help gain experience in a friendly atmosphere. In Flin Flon, the Toastmasters meet every Tuesday from 7:15 to 8:15 in the Rotary Room of the Library. Every meeting is a bit different because a different Toastmaster member will host it. We encourage guests to attend a few meetings to understand fully the program. There is no pressure for guests or new members to speak until they are ready. Guests are welcome throughout the year, but a special invitation is extended annually on Guest Night for interested persons to come out, bring a friend to share in our program, cake, and fellowship. We hope you will visit us this year on Tuesday, February 10 at 7:15 downstairs in the Library.6/2/04
