Three suspects wanted after an assault on a man in Denare Beach have been arrested.
Trenton Laliberty, 21, of Denare Beach was arrested in Regina on May 22 in connection to a beating and robbery in Denare Beach on March 17.
RCMP responded to the scene in March to find an injured man and several items, including a Ford truck and two firearms, missing from the home.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but has since returned home.
“He’s back home now and he’s recovering,” said Creighton RCMP Sgt. Sean McPhee.
“Physically speaking, he’ll heal.”
McPhee also confirmed that the property reported stolen in the attack, including the truck, has been recovered by RCMP.
“It’s all been taken care of now,” he said.
Laliberty faces a number of charges relating to warrants issued in both Creighton and Deschambault Lake, including forcible confinement, aggravated assault, robbery and breaking and entering.
Charges of assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for dangerous purpose and a probation breach have been issued for Laliberty in relation to other incidents.
Laliberty has been remanded in Regina, but will be transported back to the north and will appear in court in Creighton. A court date for Laliberty has not been set.
Another suspect, a 15-year-old male, was arrested in Flin Flon in mid-May. RCMP spotted the suspect at least once before he was apprehended, but were unable to make an arrest.
The youth faces charges of forcible confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. In addition to these charges, the youth also faces a number of charges in Manitoba.
“He’ll have to deal with his charges there before he comes back to Saskatchewan to face charges here,” said McPhee.
A third suspect, a 14-year-old male, was arrested on March 20 and faces charges of aggravated assault, theft and resisting arrest.
The 14-year-old and the 15-year-old offenders cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
