Three charged after assault, forcible confinement at Hill Street home

Three people are facing charges after a woman was assaulted and forcibly confined at a home on Hill Street June 2.

On June 2, Flin Flon RCMP received a call of a 20-year-old female who was assaulted and forcibly confined at a home. After investigating, police concluded the woman was at a Hill Street home when an argument broke out with people at the home, leading to the woman being assaulted and locked in a bedroom inside. The victim was later released and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Three people have been charged in relation to the incident. Noddena Dumas, 29 of Flin Flon and 26-year-old William Dumas of Pukatawagan have been charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement and have been remanded into RCMP custody. A third person, an unidentified 35-year-old woman from Flin Flon, was released from police custody but still faces aggravated assault and forcible confinement charges. The 35-year-old woman will appear in Flin Flon provincial court July 14.

Flin Flon RCMP, the provincial major crimes unit and Forensic Identification Services are investigating the incident.
