Three calls for fire department in November

Nov. 4: Residential fire alarm. At 8:08 pm a page was received for a residential fire alarm at 239 Bracken Street. Duty officer and Engine 2 responded. fire crews found a smoke detector activated from cooking and the system was reset. Nov.

Nov. 4:  Residential fire alarm. At 8:08 pm a page was received for a residential fire alarm at 239 Bracken Street. Duty officer and Engine 2 responded. fire crews found a smoke detector activated from cooking and the system was reset.

Nov. 9: Vehicle fire. At 12:45 pm, a page was received for a vehicle fire at 84 First Ave. Duty officer and Engine 2 responded. Fire Crews extinguished a small fire in the engine compartment. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 23: Single vehicle accident.  At 7:06 am, a page was received for a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Provincial Highway 10 and 10A. Duty officer and Rescue 1 responded. Fire crews extricated the victim and the victim was transported to hospital.   

November’s fire damage losses were an estimated $10,000.  A total of three incidents were recorded for the month of November. The total number of incidents for the corresponding month of November in 2016 was four.
