Flin Flon RCMP are investigating after a lone individual smashed two front windows at an uptown clothing store and made off with an undetermined number of items.

Police were dispatched to Dembinsky’s just past midnight on Monday after a caller heard the sound of smashing glass and observed the break-in underway.

RCMP said two officers were on scene in short order but could not locate anyone matching the suspect’s description.

The suspect had fled on foot toward Church Street, the caller told police, after noticing that the caller was witnessing the break-in.

RCMP said items were removed from the Main Street store, but as of press time Tuesday the inventory of stolen goods was still being devised.

Police did not say what the suspect used in order to break the windows, nor could they confirm whether the suspect is male or female.

RCMP ask anyone with information on the break-in to contact the Flin Flon detachment at 204-687-1423 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Callers to Crime Stoppers need never reveal their identity and may become eligible for a cash reward.
