Police are asking for the public's help in solving a recent home burglary in Denare Beach as well as the theft of a car stereo in Creighton. At an unknown date between Oct. 17 and Oct. 29, one or more culprits broke into a home at the corner of 10th Ave. and Spruce St. in Denare Beach. Stolen from the residence were an undisclosed amount of cash, clothes and household items. Meanwhile, police continue to investigate the theft of a stereo from a vehicle parked at Advance Automotive. The crime took place sometime between the evening of Oct. 18 and the morning of Oct. 19. After failing to pry one of the doors open, the thief or thieves smashed a side window to gain access. The dash was pried off and the factory Dodge stereo was removed. The stereo will only fit in another Dodge or Chrysler vehicle. Creighton RCMP ask that anyone with information on either of these crimes to contact them at 688-8888 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers never have to reveal their identity and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
