A summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the week of Oct. 12-18:
Sunday, Oct. 12
– Sixteen-year-old youth reported missing in the early morning hours; youth returned home 15 minutes after police received report.
– Noise complaint received in trailer court; police attended scene and spoke with homeowner.
– Report received of Stop sign being removed and placed against residence on Green Street; patrols made for suspects were negative; Stop sign put back in place in short order.
– Report received of intoxicated 15-year-old youth on Second Avenue; youth returned to parent.
– Report of persons looking into vehicles on Bellevue Avenue.
– Adult male located on Main Street, intoxicated and passed out; man lodged until sober.
– Report of theft from a Flintoba Shopping Centre business as three females attempted to leave store with over $700 in merchandise; suspects fled the scene, nearly striking a store employee with their vehicle; matter still under investigation.
– Report of mischief at a Bellevue Avenue residence where two windows were broken.
– Noise complaint on Adams Street; parents returned home as police were on scene.
Monday, Oct. 13
– Two false alarms received at business located on Main Street and Hwy 10A.
– Checkstop completed on Perimeter Highway; about 100 vehicles checked and no charges laid.
– Report of domestic assault on Callinan Street; police attended and suspect was arrested and lodged; charges will be laid.
– Police attended to a report of a theft of keys on Hapnot Street; matter was deemed to be unfounded.
Tuesday, Oct. 14
– Report of mischief on Second Avenue where a rock was thrown through the window of a residence.
– Report received over a bike that had been stolen over the summer; bike was recovered but now was stolen a second time.
– Report received of a stolen wallet as a debit card was used for a theft of over $700; matter under investigation.
Wednesday, Oct. 15
– Report of vehicle failing to stop at the crosswalk on Ross Street while lights were activated and children in the area.
– Police attended the hospital for a report of an intoxicated male who was yelling and swearing; male was located and lodged until sober.
– Report of possible drug use at a local hotel due to strong odour of cannabis.
– Report of suspicious persons on Ross Street; persons were located and were assisting their intoxicated friend home.
– Report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave residence on Scarth Street; police arrived on scene and male had left the residence, but due to his level of intoxication he only made it a few feet from the front door before passing out in the front yard; he was lodged until sober.
Thursday, Oct. 16
– Report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a local hotel; she was located and lodged until sober.
– Report of a person being followed while leaving their place of employment.
Friday, Oct. 17
– Two reports of mischief on Channing Drive and Tweedsmuir Street; suspects had been looking into vehicles and had spraypainted one vehicle; police were on scene in minutes and were assisted in looking for the suspects by the complainant.
– Report of a hit and run to a vehicle on Main Street; no suspects.
– Report of intoxicated male at Flin Flon General Hospital; he was arrested and lodged until sober.
– Report of barking dog tied up in backyard on Centennial Crescent; dog owner contacted.
– Report of loud music being played at residence on Main Street; police attended and spoke with homeowner.
Saturday, Oct. 18
– Report of possible impaired driver on Main Street; attempts made to locate the vehicle were unsuccessful.
– Report of an unlicensed driver on Third Avenue; attempts made to locate vehicle were unsuccessful.
– Report of loud music complaint on Dominion Boulevard; homeowner spoken to by police.
– Police dispatched to disturbance on Main Street; two people yelling at each other and racism determined to be an underlying factor in the event.
– Intoxicated male observed lying on Main Street in a doorway; he was arrested and lodged until sober.
– Intoxicated female observed lying on sidewalk at the bottom of the 100 Stairs; she was arrested and lodged until sober.
– Police called to assist EMS on Bellevue Avenue with intoxicated female who had tripped and injured herself.
– Report of ongoing problem of teenagers trespassing on private property on Third Avenue; investigation continuing and charges may be laid.
– Report of male who had kicked in a door on Hill Street and was chased from residence by homeowner; male was then reported to have been beaten up by some girls after leaving the residence.
