Thieves damaged a vehicle and made off with a few items after breaking into a garage in Creighton over the weekend. Police say the unsolved break-in occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday on Broderick Ave. Items removed from the garage were a satellite phone, a two-way radio and a pair of tan gloves with eagles on them. Meanwhile, RCMP were recently called to what appeared to be an attempted break-in at the Ski Chalet. Pry marks were found on a basement door, but it's not clear whether the culprits were successful in entering the building, as nothing was stolen or damaged. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 2 and Jan. 8. Police ask anyone with information on unsolved crimes in Creighton or Denare Beach to contact them at 688-8888 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
