Bill McLean was happy when one of his Lotto 6/49 tickets won $10. He was even happier when another ticket from a draw last month won $100,000.
“I was checking a few of my tickets and won $10, which was great,” said the Flin Flon resident. “Then the last ticket I checked was the big winner. I looked at it and thought to myself, ‘That can’t be right. It must be a misprint or something.’
“I took the ticket to the store clerk to make sure I was seeing it right. Then all hell broke loose! I did win $100,000.”
McLean has a few plans for his winnings, including purchasing a recreational motorized toy and going on a vacation, but he will be putting most of the money away for the time being.
He purchased his winning ticket at Gateway Convenience Store. McLean celebrated his win in the Feb. 13 lotto by taking his grandsons out for lunch.
