It was a win-win this past weekend as Northland Ford showcased its quality vehicles while supporting soon-to-be graduates on their big day. The Drive 4UR School event raised $2,200 for the upcoming Many Faces Education Centre graduation ceremony. 'It was very well attended,' said the dealership's Doug Gourlay. Held in the Hapnot Collegiate parking lot in the late morning and afternoon of Saturday, June 8, the event donated $20 every time someone took a vehicle for a test drive. Test drives totalled 110, with all proceeds helping the Many Faces grads with their June 26 ceremony at the R.H. Channing Auditorium. Gourlay said the event benefitted from the nearby skateboard tournament, as some people attending that event took time to go for a test drive. This marked the fourth year for Northland Ford's Drive 4UR School event. The event has now generated nearly $20,000 for graduation ceremonies at Hapnot and Many Faces. 'It's been super,' said Gourlay. Many Faces expects about 17 graduates this year.
