A handful of educators got a lesson in aboriginal culture recently. Katie Kawerski and Jason Mandes of the Flin Flon Indian-Metis Friendship Centre gave a presentation to teachers and staff from throughout the Flin Flon School Division. "I find there's really a lot of knowledge about the aboriginal culture in the community," commented Kawerski. "We're just trying to cement what they've learned already." The hour-long presentation, held at Many Faces Education Centre, involved props such as a tipi and a drum. "Knowledge is always beneficial. The more you know about a culture, the more you understand, and this is just going a step further," said Kawerski.
