Police have arrested a 27-year-old man after a shooting at a home on Ross Street late last week.
Flin Flon RCMP announced May 7 that they had arrested a man, identified by police as David Anthony Benjamin Ross, on charges relating to the incident. Ross faces one charge of attempted murder and several firearms-related charges that have not been confirmed by police. Ross has been remanded into custody - his first court date is unknown.
Shortly before 10 p.m. May 4, police were called to a home on the street after neighbours heard shots fired, not far from Ruth Betts Community School. At the home, a 23-year-old woman was found inside injured with what RCMP have described as "life-threatening injuries". The woman was transported to hospital in Winnipeg. After the 23-year-old woman was found, a second update to RCMP revealed a second victim, a 28-year-old man. Neither victim has been identified by police.
As of May 7, both victims are in hospital as a result of their injuries and now in stable condition.
