The children of the Kiddie Korner Daycare received the surprise of their young lives Monday when Santa Claus showed up at their Christmas concert. St. Nick entered the concert, held at the Ruth Betts School gymnasium, during the final song the children sang. "They all kind of stopped and their mouths dropped open," smiled Loretta Makela, assistant director of the daycare. "They were really excited. They thought he was amazing." Santa soon found a chair at the front of the gym, and the anxious youngsters took turns sitting on his lap. The jolly fellow passed on early Christmas gifts from the parents. The children also received treat bags from the daycare staff. About 80 parents and friends were on hand for the concert, many of them with cameras and camcorders in hand to capture the magic for all time. Pictured enjoying a chat with Santa is Jordan Mousseau, 3. The Kiddie Korner Daycare is based at Ruth Betts School.
